3. Circle the Moon with Three Rings
(Also switches your sword from Left to Right hand)

Footwork: Into standard Bow Stance to East. Open right foot to corner then follow down
centre line as in
Parry, Block and Punch and continue into Bow Stance.

Arm Movements:
Basically like Brush Knee & Push Left. Sword finger point out followed
by variation of
Hand Strums The Lute to pick out your Opponents arm with the blade and
finishing with a variation of
Press but going towards grabbing the sword handle instead
of pressing the middle forearm. On final move elbow in line with front knee.

Chen Weiming indicates this is a variation of
Step Up to seven Stars

Imagination:

1. Ward off left with sword to deflect opponents sword (it would seem you have to be
careful to keep your arm protected using your sword blade) and strike with right secret
sword hand to acupuncture point.

2. Opponent grabs right your right arm. Roll your arm bring sword over with your left arm
(like a joiners plane) and scrape down opponents grabbing arm, striking towards his
middle body with butt of sword handle.

3. Potential follow on strike to side of opponent with butt. Circle right arm to prepare to
change sword to right hand.
